IRCTC’s second Tejas train will run between Ahmedabad-Mumbai, it will be flagged off for the first time on Friday. The second train of IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, will leave Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express from Ahmedabad with Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. IRCTC is currently operating the private Tejas train on the Lucknow-New Delhi route. Railway officials said that the rail will start commercially from Ahmedabad from 19 January 2020. He said that tickets for this train can be booked online on the IRCTC website. Its tickets will not be available at the railway reservation counters. The seats of this train can also be booked through IRCTC’s online travel portal partners such as Paytm, Ixigo, PhonePe, Make My Trip, Google, Goibibo, RailYatri and others.

The number of trains between Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Tejas Express will be 82902. Which will leave Ahmedabad at 06.40 am and reach Mumbai Central at 01.10 pm. The number of this train in return will be 82901. Which will leave Mumbai Central at 03.40 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 09.55 pm. On the way, this train will stop at Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi and Borivali railway stations. The train will be operated six days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This train will not run on Thursday.
This will be the fare
The fare for executive chair car from Ahmedabad to Mumbai is Rs 2384. This includes base fair of Rs 1875, GST Rs 94 and catering charge Rs 415. The fare of AC chair car will be Rs 1289, including base fair Rs 870, GST Rs 44 and catering charge Rs 375. Executive chair car fare between Mumbai-Ahmedabad is Rs 2374, which includes Rs 1875 base fair, Rs 94 GST and catering charge Rs 405. The fare of AC chair car is Rs 1274, which includes Rs 870 as base fair, Rs 44 GST and Rs 360 as catering charge.
However, its fare is more expensive than Shatabdi Express. Executive chair car fare in Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express is Rs 1885. The fare for the chair car is Rs 1295. It completes its journey in 6: 45 minutes.
The base of the train will be equal to the Fair Shatabdi Express, though IRCTC will have the right to increase the fare. IRCTC has also decided the fare of Tejas Express running on Lucknow-Delhi route, which is more than Shatabdi.On the other hand, IRCTC will also give refund to passengers for delayed running of the train. For earning, IRCTC will approve the advertisement or run on LED screen in this train.
